INTERMEDIATE PISTOL SHOOTERS ONLY. IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF YOUR SKILL LEVEL, PLEASE CONTACT US PRIOR TO REGISTERING.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The course teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Students can attend this course using a quality strong side hip holster that covers the trigger, or a holster purse. From a review of safe firearms handling and proper mindset to presentation from concealment and multiple shooting positions, this course contains the essential skills and techniques needed to prevail in a life-threatening situation.<\/p>\n<p>This nine-hour course and offers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. After the classroom portion, students should expect to spend several hours on the range and shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>Equipment Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ear and eye protection<\/li>\n<li>Strong-side hip holster (no cross-draw or shoulder rigs)<\/li>\n<li>Holster that does not collapse when the gun is removed. No pocket guns or holsters.<\/li>\n<li>Concealment garment, light jacket, shirt or vest<\/li>\n<li>No open-toe shoes. No sandals or flip-flops.<\/li>\n<li>300 rounds of factory ammunition. NO RELOADS.<\/li>\n<li>Two extra functional magazines (semi-autos) or speed-loaders (revolvers)<\/li>\n<li>Magazine carrier optional but HIGHLY recommended<\/li>\n<li>Bottled water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Optional Items are a hat, sunscreen, bug repellant, rain gear. We will be on the range and exposed to the elements for the entire day \u2013 be prepared.
