Tactical Handcuffing provides clients the skills and knowledge to teach how to handcuff an individual using techniques that can be utilized under duress. The tactics in this class are simple to learn and remember making them a viable method on the “street”. The course is intended for police, corrections, military or private security personnel. This curriculum focuses on hands-on skills and handcuffing as part of the arrest process.
Handcuffs are used more than any other tool in law enforcement. Unfortunately more officers are placed in vulnerable positions or hurt during the handcuffing process. This usually occurs because officers are taught complicated handcuffing techniques that include flips and twists along other fine motor skills. We will utilize simple, effective techniques that allow you to quickly control and handcuff an individual. This course presents similar handcuffing skills that can be performed whether a subject assumes a kneeling, standing or prone position.
