Build Your Own Rifle

This class is designed for the novice gun builder. Students must be 21 years or older. The cost of the class includes our base model rifle.

We provide all parts of the rifle, including the serialized lower receiver. We are the manufacturer of the lower receiver. YOU MUST COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK FOR THE RECEIVER PRIOR TO CLASS.

WE ARE TRANSFERRING THE LOWER RECEIVER TO YOU. YOU ARE BUYING THE PARTS FROM US BUT YOU ARE ASSEMBLING THE RIFLE. THEREFORE, YOU ARE THE MANUFACTURER OF THE RIFLE, PER ATF RULE.

YOU CAN CHOOSE YOUR OWN SERIAL NUMBER. IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A CUSTOM SERIAL NUMBER OR CUSTOM ENGRAVING, PLEASE LET US KNOW IN THE NOTE SECTION DURING CHECKOUT.

Important Information:

The cost of the class includes the cost of our complete base model rifle, the FAFO Civilian Defender, CDS-15 with a custom serial number, if you choose. You may select any of our Civilian Defender models or choose any of our rifle kits. If selecting a kit, you must purchase it directly from us.

If you select any model other than our base model, the Civilian Defender (already included in the price), or you select a rifle kit, you will be charged any difference in price between the base model and your selection.

Students will be contacted shortly after enrolling in this class so we can ascertain any additional customizations you may want prior to class.

What can you expect?

Each student will learn how the AR-15 and each of its components work. During this class, students will build their very own rifle.

What materials will you be provided?

We supply everything: all the parts, knowledge, tools, and expertise.

Course Outline:

Students will learn how to completely assemble a military-spec AR-15/M4 style rifle.

• Barrel and gas tube (overview only)
• Upper receiver and bolt carrier (overview only)
• Lower receiver and complete trigger group (in-depth, hands-on)
• Stocks, sights, and slings

Additional Information:

If you have questions relating to this class, please call our training academy director at 540-207-1641. We will be happy to go over your chosen build and make sure everything is in order to ensure you can complete your rifle during this class. You will leave class with a complete, fully functional rifle. Additional magazines and custom engraving are not included in the price.
